OUR VISION & MISSION

H.A.L.O. – Helping to Advance the Lives of Others.

Our vision is to meet the academic, athletic, and extra-curricular needs of youth and young adults in under-served and underprivileged communities. Our mission is to create, establish, implement, and fund academic and athletic programs, events, and activities for inner city youth and young adults to further their college and career paths and prepare them for their awesome futures.

OUR HISTORY

The H.A.L.O. Organization was birthed from the founder, Tamryn Tammy Story Wilkins’ passion of helping her community live a more fulfilled life.

She knew that if people were working in areas they were passionate about, it wouldn’t be work at all. She loved to coordinate family celebrations and get-togethers which aided her in the implementation of programs, activities, and events for her elementary school where she is employed. H.A.L.O. is a platform for the founder to give back to her community while at the same time fulfilling her love for helping others live passionately.

A-GAME: A Student-Athlete Academic Support Program for High Schools

WE WANT TO EQUIP STUDENT-ATHLETES WITH THE ACADEMIC TOOLS AND RESOURCES TO BRING THEIR "A-GAME" TO THE CLASSROOM

– TAMRYN WILKINS

Student-athletes need to pay as much attention to their academic performance as they do to their athletic performance.

– LISA LESLIE, ADVISOR

Overall, student-athletes graduate at higher rates than their peers in the student body, and those rates rise each year.
